Gaya LGEA Flags-Off Off Enrolment drive  for New Primary School Pupils of the 2025/2026 Academic Session

The Gaya Local Government Area organized the enrollment ceremony for new primary school pupils for the 2025/2026 academic session, held at Gaya Kofar Fada Primary School in the heart of Gaya town.

The event was colorful and well-attended by senior government officials, community leaders, and stakeholders in the education sector.

In his remarks, the Chairman of the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Malam Yusuf Kabir, represented by the Director of Social Mobilization, Malam Balarabe Danlami Jazuli, emphasized the importance of the enrollment exercise, stressing that it remains a critical step in ensuring that every child has access to education from the foundational level.

Also speaking, the UBEC Officer in Kano State, Malam Abdurrahman Musa, stated that the Universal Basic Education Commission attaches great priority to community sensitization, to encourage parents to give utmost attention to their children’s education at all levels.

In his contribution, the Education Councillor of Gaya, Hon. Abdullahi Muhammad, who represented the local government leadership, together with Hon. Tajo Muhammad Sani Gaya, highlighted the commitment of the local government to education.

He noted that motorcycles and a vehicle had been provided to strengthen monitoring and supervision of schools, a step aimed at improving educational standards in the area.

The Education Secretary of Gaya LGA, Malam Suraja Akilu, delivered a vote of thanks, appreciating all the dignitaries and participants whose contributions made the ceremony a resounding success
