KNSUBEB Seeks Emir of Karaye’s Support for 2026 Enrolment Driv

KARAYE, KANO STATE: The Kano State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) has paid an advocacy visit to the Emir of Karaye, Alhaji Muhammad Maharaz, to seek his support and cooperation for the successful conduct of the 2026 Enrolment Drive in the Karaye Emirate.

The visit formed part of the Board’s advocacy and stakeholder engagement efforts ahead of the enrolment campaign, which is aimed at encouraging parents and communities to enrol all school-age children in school and ensure that they remain in school.

Speaking during the visit, the representative of the Chairman of SUBEB, Hajiya Amina Umar, said the delegation was at the Emir’s palace to seek his royal support and guidance towards the success of the 2026 Enrolment Drive.

She emphasized the important role traditional institutions play in mobilising communities and encouraging parents to prioritise the education of their children, particularly in ensuring that every school-age child gains access to basic education.

Hajiya Amina Umar appealed to the Emir to use his position and influence to support the campaign and mobilise district heads, village heads, community leaders and parents across the Emirate to participate actively in the enrolment drive.

She expressed optimism that with the support of the traditional institution, the campaign would achieve its objectives and contribute significantly to increasing school enrolment across the Karaye Emirate.

The visit underscores SUBEB’s commitment to strengthening collaboration with traditional institutions and other stakeholders in ensuring every child is enrolled in school and given the opportunity to learn and thrive.
