ES Shanono LGEA Orders Immediate Enrollment of New Intakes for 2024/2025 Academic Session

The Education Secretary of Shanono Local Government Education Authority (LGEA), Malam Muktar Musa, has directed all head teachers of primary schools to commence enrollment of new intakes for the 2024/2025 academic session. This directive was given during a meeting with head teachers and principals of junior secondary schools held at the LGEA Secretariat in Shanono.

The Education Secretary emphasized that the directive was issued to comply with the instruction of the Executive Chairman of SUBEB, Malam Yusif Kabir. He stated that the enrollment exercise must begin on August 15, 2024, and end on August 25, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. daily.

Malam Muktar also directed head teachers to meet with their School-Based Management Committees (SBMCs), Parent-Teacher Associations (PTAs), Old Students’ Associations (OPAs), and Mother’s Associations to publicize the enrollment program.

Furthermore, he ordered head teachers and principals to ensure that all academic activities are up to date, including lesson plans, scheme of work, and completion of admission and attendance registers.

According to the Head of Mobilization, Malam Umar Abdullahi Shanono, his office would continue to mobilize community members to support the enrollment exercise for a hitch-free process.

The meeting concluded with a promise from all head teachers and principals to comply with the directive.
