AETP Orientation Kicks Off for 2022: Empowering Excellence in Agriculture Education

The Agriculture Education Training Program (AETP) Orientation for 2022 has commenced, emphasizing empowerment and excellence in agriculture education.

The event, held at the Kano State Universal Basic Education Board Headquarters, was attended by SUBEB Directors, Deputy Directors, and beneficiary schools.

The Executive Chairman, Malam Yusif Kabir, represented by the Director of Academic Services, Malam Musa Almu Baba, declared the event open and stressed the significance of agriculture education in promoting sustainable development.

“Incorporating agriculture into school curriculum can have a positive impact on students’ knowledge, skills, and perspectives, preparing them for a sustainable future,” he said.

The Director of Academic Services, Malam Musa Almu Baba, announced that 40 schools from three senatorial districts were selected for the 2022 program

.The orientation aims to train School-Based Management Committee members, Head teachers, Agriculture teachers, and AETP desk officers on the program’s guidelines for successful implementation.

The program coordinator, Yusif Muhammad Madaki, outlined the objectives and expectations of AETP, urging beneficiaries to make the most of the opportunity to achieve better results.

The selected schools will receive training on fish farming, goat rearing, and chicken farming, depending on their location.

Beneficiaries expressed their gratitude for the program, pledging to utilize the knowledge and skills acquired to enhance agriculture education in the state.

This initiative is a significant step towards empowering students with the skills and knowledge necessary for a sustainable future.”
