The Association of Primary School Head Teachers of Nigeria (AoPSHON) has expressed appreciation to the Governor of Kano State, Abba Kabir Yusuf, for fulfilling his promise to implement and pay promotion entitlements to primary school head teachers.

The State Chairman of the Association, Comrade Malam Abdussalam, made this known in a statement signed by the State Secretary, Hajiya Bilkisu T. Abdulkadir. According to the statement, the action demonstrates the government’s strong commitment to improving the welfare of teachers and strengthening the education sector.

The Association noted that the payment of promotion benefits at the appropriate time is not only a fulfillment of promise but also a morale booster for teachers. It emphasized that when educators receive their rightful entitlements, they are more motivated and dedicated to their responsibilities of teaching and nurturing future generations.

AoPSHON further stated that improving teachers’ welfare plays a vital role in enhancing the quality of education, as a motivated workforce contributes significantly to better learning outcomes and overall school performance.

The Association called on its members to remain committed, disciplined, and supportive of government efforts aimed at revitalizing education in Kano State.
