Place Wellness and Health Foundation Seeks Collaboration with Kano SUBEB on Public Health Initiatives

The Place of Wellness and Health Foundation has paid a courtesy visit to the Kano State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) as part of efforts to introduce the Foundation and present its public health initiatives aimed at improving community and school health in the state.
During the visit, the Foundation explained that it is a non-governmental, non-profit organization committed to advancing health education and promoting healthy lifestyle changes across Kano State and Nigeria at large.
The delegation highlighted its core focus areas, which include mental health awareness, drug abuse prevention, and the promotion of healthy lifestyles, particularly within underserved communities.
Speaking during the visit, the Founder and Chairman of the Foundation, Dr. Musa Ibrahim Kuwara, stated that the organization believes strong collaboration with key stakeholders, especially government authorities, is essential for the success and sustainability of public health programmes.
He noted that the proposed partnership would help align the Foundation’s activities with state health priorities and strategies.
Dr. Kuwara explained that the courtesy visit was also aimed at presenting the vision, mission, and objectives of the Foundation, sharing details of its community and school-based health campaigns, and exploring areas of possible collaboration and institutional support.
Receiving the delegation on behalf of the Executive Chairman of SUBEB, Hon. Wada Ibrahim Daho, a Permanent Member of the Board, assured the Foundation of the Board’s willingness to collaborate and provide the necessary support to initiatives that promote the health and well-being of pupils and communities across the state.
He reaffirmed SUBEB’s commitment to working with credible organizations whose programmes align with the government’s vision of improving education and public health outcomes in Kano State.
