KNSG TO DISTRIBUTE TEACHING AND LEARNING MATERIALS TO SCHOOLS

The State Commissioner for Education Hon. Umar Haruna Doguwa has said, Kano State Government has set to distribute teaching and learning materials to Basic Education Schools before resumption for first term of 2023/2024 academic session.
Hon. Umar Doguwa announce this when he visited the Headquarters of the State Universal Basic Education Board.

The commissioner said the visit was to inspect all the materials in the store of the Board so as to plan on how to distribute the materials to schools to improve quality of education in the state.
He added that a committee will be set up to classify the materials and also to come up with modalities on how to distribute the materials.
“When you dumped and and stock books and other teaching and learning materials it is like you locked the door of gaining knowledge” he noted

The commissioner also directed the Acting Chair of the Board, Hajiya Amina Umar to with immediate effect to install CCTV camera in the store a means of providing security in the store.
According to him the Government has provided the materials for the benefit of young, therefore everything possible must be done to protect the materials.
He added that to ensure that all the materials dumped in the stores at the Ministry and its Agencies must be access and distribute to schools.
The Acting Chair SUBEB Hajiya Amina Umar thanked the commissioner for the visit then assured to put in to use all recommendation raise by the commissioner.
