Don’t attempt to divert Instructional materials provided to Schools- KNSUBEB Chair warns

The Executive Chairman, State Universal Basic Education Board, Malam Yusif Kabir said the Board has concluded arrangements to visit schools to supervise materials allocated to each schools in all the 44 Local Government Education Authorities.
The chairman announced the decision in his office, when he received reports from 44 Local Government Education Authorities on the conduct of distribution of the instructional materials, adding that the measure was highly imperative to ensure that the distributed items reach the target beneficiaries.
Furthermore, the Chairman directed all 44 LGEAs Education Secretaries to ensure proper records and keep distributed charts records as the Board set to deploy monitoring and supervision teams to LGEAs to assess distribution exercise.
“Let me use this medium to warn any one with intents to divert or misuse the materials provided to the schools to desist from such act, saying that the board would not fold its arms to watch unpatriotic persons planning to undermine the efforts of the Government” he warned.
“I would like to remind you that Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has much interest on Education, I believed that his administration would do everything possible to uplift the standard of education at all levels in the state” the Chairman affirmed
While commending the state government for the procurement and distribution of the materials, the Executive Chairman called on School Based Management Committee and Parents Teachers Association members to be vigilant in supporting the Government ensuring that all materials provided to schools were judiciously used.
It could be recall that Eng. Governor Abba Kabir Yusif launched the distribution of instructional materials to primary, junior and secondary schools which took place at Coronation Hall, Government House Kano.
.items distributed includes text books, exercise books, thousands of school uniforms, school bags and pairs of school sandals and Instructional materials for teaching and learning for people with disabilities .
