The State commissioner for Education Alh. Umar Haruna Doguwa has said the Challenges of Out of School Children could be addressed if Public and Private organisations work Deligentlly..
The Commissioner, dropped the hint at Covid 19 hall of the ministry while flagging off distribution of teaching and learning materials provided by the Save the Children a Partnership Learning for All window3 program for the Catch up Clubs.
Alhaji Umar Doguwa who was represented by the Deputy Director Planning Research and Statistic of the Ministry Alh. Sani Muhd Kabara said, the administration of Governor Abba Kabir Yusif is working round the clock to ensure that all children of school age were provided with opportunity to access quality education.
He further said, the issue of out of school children was one of the phenomenon required the attention of all stakeholders, there fore assured full support the ministry to any attempt designed to provide education to the children.
While thanking Save the Children for establishment of Catch up clubs aimed at training Out of School Children and drop out to improve their literacy’ level, the Commissioner charged the benefiting communities to support the program for optimum result
The coordinator of PLANE window 3 Alh. Abubakar Sharif Adam said, the catch-up club was initiated by PLANE aimed at bridging the gap on literacy and numeracy to out of school and drop out children in Ajingi and Makoda Local Governments
The materials distributed include 60 board with tripod stand,14,400 exercise books, 720 plastic chairs, 720 pen, pencils and eraser each, 460 mats, 120 plastic bucket with bottom tap.among others
