DEPUTY EXECUTIVE SECRETARY (TECHNICAL) UBEC VISITS BILINGUAL SCHOOL IN KIRU

As part of the Commission’s ongoing efforts to ensure high standards in its school projects, the Deputy Executive Secretary (Technical) of the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC), Mr. Razak Olujuwon Akinyemi, has visited the Bilingual School in Kiru under the Kiru Local Government Education Authority.

Mr. Razak explained that the visit formed part of the pre-commissioning activities aimed at assessing the buildings, facilities, and other infrastructure provided in the school.
He expressed satisfaction with the quality and progress of the work, noting that preparations for the official commissioning of the school have reached an advanced stage. He also commended the Kano State Government for its continuous supervision and commitment to ensuring that the project was implemented in line with approved standards.

Mr. Razak called on community members, parents, and local stakeholders to support and take ownership of the school by safeguarding its structures, facilities, and learning environment. He emphasized that community involvement is vital to sustaining the school and ensuring that it continues to serve the educational needs of children for generations to come.

In another development, a separate team from UBEC led by Engineer Sadiq Said, Director of Physical Planning, also inspected a similar project in Ganduje Town
Engineer Sadiq expressed satisfaction with the quality and standard of the project, recalling that he had visited the site two years earlier and noting that the level of progress recorded since then is highly commendable. He stated that the building has now reached the finishing stage, including the execution of external works, which technically signifies that the project is nearing full completion.
