The Executive Chairman of the Kano State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Malam Yusuf Kabir, has emphasized that Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives and the Education Public-Private Partnership (E-PPP) framework remain vital tools to addressing persistent challenges in the education sector.

Malam Yusuf made this known at the Kano State PPP Education Finalization Workshop organized by the PLANE project at Tahir Guest Palace, Kano.

Represented by the Director of Social Mobilization, Balarabe Danlami Jazuli, the SUBEB boss acknowledged the efforts of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf’s administration in tackling the state’s education challenges.

He, however, stressed that government alone cannot shoulder the burden, underscoring the need for private investors, philanthropists, and donor agencies to complement state interventions.

He revealed that the Board is already collaborating with the Office of the Special Adviser on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to the Governor to rehabilitate some schools across the state, in addition to those renovated by government.

Malam Yusuf further called on wealthy individuals, old students’ associations, and community groups to rise to the occasion and contribute meaningfully towards strengthening the education sector.

He expressed appreciation to the PLANE project, Kano Invest, and the Office of the Special Adviser on Corporate Social Responsibility for their commitment to promoting education, particularly at the basic levels
