SUBEB Chair congratulates Teachers on the occasion of World Teachers day

The Executive Chairman of the State Universal Basic Education Board, Malam Yusif Kabir, has congratulated teachers on the occasion of World Teachers’ Day, while urging them to remain committed to their duties.

This was contained in a statement signed by the Director Social Mobilization Balarabe Danlami Jazuli.

The Chairman stated that the day presents a significant opportunity for teachers to reflect on the challenges they have faced in the past and express gratitude for the progress made, especially under the administration of Governor Abba Kabir Yusif.

Malam Yusif noted that within a short period, the government has resolved long-standing issues related to teachers’ promotions. In addition, there has been an improvement in the payment of duty allowances.

He also mentioned that the current administration has recruited more teachers and introduced a system of providing interest-free loans to teaching and non-teaching staff.

Furthermore, the government has constructed new classrooms and renovated many existing ones to improve the welfare of both teachers and students.

Finally, the Chairman urged teachers to remain dedicated to their responsibilities as a show of appreciation for the government’s efforts to revitalize basic education
