Kano State SUBEB Chairman Reaffirms Commitment to Quality Education

Malam Yusuf Kabir, Chairman of the Kano State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), has reiterated the board’s dedication to providing quality education to basic education pupils.
This commitment aligns with Governor Abba Kabir’s goal of ensuring all children in the state have access to quality education, enabling them to achieve success.
During a meeting with education secretaries, heads of unit, school principals, and head teachers from Municipal and Tarauni Local Government Areas,
Malam Yusif Kabir emphasized the need for a collective effort to address challenges facing the education sector. Some of the challenges discussed include:: Late Coming and Absenteeism for both teachers and pupils, Low Lesson Preparation by teachers, hindering effective teaching, and inadequate Monitoring and Evaluation.
To address these challenges, Yusif Kabir announced plans to replicate the meeting in all local government areas, ensuring that all stakeholders are involved in the effort to improve education quality.H
e emphasized the importance of monitoring teacher and student attendance, improving the monitoring system for learning and teaching activities, and ensuring students receive their lessons as expected
