SUBEB COMMENCES VERIFICATION EXERCISE OF IN-SERVICE TEACHERS

The State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) has launched an In-service teachers Verification Exercise, a crucial step in the Kano State Government’s comprehensive efforts to revive and transform the basic education sector.

The Executive Chairman, Malam Yusif Kabir, announced that the Board has begun verification of in-service teachers currently pursuing higher education in various institutions.

During an inspection visit to the Federal College of Education (FCE) in Kano, the Chairman, represented by the Director of Social Mobilization,Hajiya Magajiya Usman, explained that the exercise aims to confirm that teachers on in-service training are indeed enrolled in their designated courses.

‘This initiative is part of the state government’s broader strategy to enhance teacher quality, improve learning outcomes, and ensure accountability in the education sector”.he said

The Chairman stated, the Board is responsible for approving the courses of study for teachers before their release for in-service training, aligning with the state government’s commitment to providing relevant and effective training programs.

Malam Yusif commended Governor Abba Kabir Yusif for his unwavering support and approval of the verification exercise, highlighting the governor’s dedication to revitalizing basic education in Kano State.

According to him, the state government has invested heavily in infrastructure development, teacher training, and curriculum reform, among others

The Chairman urged the in-service students to cooperate with the verification team, emphasizing the importance of their participation in ensuring the success of the exercise.
He also advised the affected teachers to remain diligent in their studies, acknowledging the state government’s commitment to their professional development and the overall improvement of basic education in Kano State
