The Ag Director Social Mobilization Balarabe Danlami Jazuli, has charged Schools Authority to support Pupils to achieve through extracurricular activities.
Balarabe Jazuli gave the charge at spelling B competition organised by Race course Model Primary school, Nassarawa Local Government Education Authority held at the school premises.
Represented by a staff of the Department of Social Mobilization, Mallam Alhasan Hassan Abba, the Ag Director said such activities helps inb building team work and problem solving skills and strengthen social relationship among others
The Ag Director expressed his satisfaction with the performance of the competitors and assured commitment of the Board to continue supporting any good initiative aimed at improving the performance of pupils.
Hefurther , thanked t Ag. Chairperson Hajiya Amina Umar for commitment in mobilizing the Schools Headteachers to continue supporting extracurricular activities in their respective schools so as to assist pupils to exploit their potentiality .
The Head Teacher of the School,Hajiya Wasila S. Jauro said, the activities would helps the school to best performance pupils who might represent the school in extra curricular competition.
Malama Wasila added that .non-academic vities helps pupils not only get to be mentally re-energized but also develop skills and pursue a special interest and develop skills in extramural activities , which might be benefit to them in Future.
The School’s Coordinator extracurricular activities Mallam Kamaluddin Shehu said, spelling B competition aimed at training pupils to master spelling of English of words, usually with varying degree of difficulty
Kamalud added that the competition was organized for pupils of Basic 5 and Basic 6 to motivate them to learn standardized spelling as well as sharpen their command of English language.
