Governor AKY approves promotion for 20,542 Teachers and Non-Teaching Staff

Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has approved the promotion of 20,542 primary and junior secondary school teachers and non-teaching staff for the year 2023 and 2024

Chairman of the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Malam Yusuf Kabir, made the announcement during a meeting with education secretaries and heads of departments.

Governor Yusuf also approved the implementation of the promotion to the affected staff this October, aiming to boost their morale.

Malam Yusuf urged the beneficiaries to rededicate themselves to their duties and expressed gratitude to Governor Abba Kabir for prioritizing education in the state.

Additionally, he appealed to community leaders, Islamic clerics, and related organizations to sensitize parents on the importance of enrolling their children in school.

Education secretaries attending the meeting praised Governor Abba Kabir for his commitment to education, citing the distribution of learning materials, construction of classrooms, and training for teachers.
